An ethnic group is a group of people who identify each other based on perceived common attributes that distinguish them from other groups.

Ethnic membership tends to be defined by a shared cultural heritage, ancestry, origin, history, homeland, language, dialect, religion, mythology, folklore, rituals, cuisine, dressing style, art, or physical appearance.

Each individual has her/his features and characteristics of appearance and character. These features and characteristics should not be a reason to discriminate and use hate speech.

Hate speech and discrimination against ethnic minorities are common in everyday communication.

Discrimination, prejudice, and hate speech do not bring progress. They do not contribute to building a fair and inclusive society.

Development and progress come if every individual and group of people are included in decision-making and development interventions, free of any form of discrimination or violence.
