Albania Demographic & Health Survey 2017-2018
The Second Albania Demographic and Health Survey 2017-2018 provides data on demographic patterns, fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS knowledge, nutrition, women's empowerment, lifestyles and related risk factors, and Non-Communicable Diseases, extremely useful for those who seek to understand the current situation in Albania and for government institutions and other actors to plan appropriate policies and programs.
The study was implemented by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) and the Institute of Public Health (IPH) under the direction of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and with the technical and financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Albanian Government, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (UNWomen).

Strengthening and expanding “Youth Voice” network activities in Shkodër municipality
Strengthening and expanding the activities of the "Voice of Youth" network of organisations in the Municipality of Shkodra. Young people from the "Youth Voice" network found that Shkodra Municipality is one of the units of local government units that has not lost time to take concrete steps in this regard. Young people are a target group and priority for this municipality, reflected both in general and specific plans, as well as in concrete, budgeted and regularly spent figures in the last three years.
Child Marriage in Albania
Early or child marriage is the union, whether official or not, of two persons, at least one of whom is under 18 years of age.
By virtue of being children, child spouses are considered to be incapable of giving full consent, meaning that child marriages should be considered a violation of human rights and the rights of the child.
Rates of child marriage are low in Albania, but the practice is found among Roma, and in some isolated rural communities.
